Meditation is basically a form of mental discipline in which the mind transcends the everyday physical world and goes into a deeper and more relaxed state of being.
Because meditation consists of focusing ones thoughts on a particular thought or object, and because our frantic lives filled with worries and cares make it hard to slow down and do that, you may like to try guided meditation, meditation with a partner.
Methods of guided meditations are diverse. Guidance can come in the form of a quiet tale or descriptive phrases telling of a place of peaceful relaxation or in the form of instruction telling how the mind and body can become relaxed.

Your choice of time will help you to succeed at your meditations. Early morning or late evenings are popular times because of the quiet and easy ambiance that is usually present at those times.
By meditating two times a daily you will get more practiced at it and the method will become a normal part of your world and more easily done.
Using music will help set a relaxing mood as does the use of sweet smelling incense.
It's best to choose a partner from the opposite sex: someone with a soothing, pleasant voice as the whole process involves talking as a way to relax the mind.
As you begin, seat your partner and yourself face to face, focusing, each of you, on your breathing. This is the beginning of every meditation method.
The main idea is to direct your partner into focusing on a specific object, feature or, natural element. This might be facilitated by imagining a glowing ball of light (this symbolizes healing), that is shedding its light on your partner like a warm glowing sun.
As a partner, it is crucial that you are able to help your partner feel the element. You need to 'see' this go into their body and with this comes a warm and healthful feeling. As the meditator you should feel and see with your mind's eye those images, then you may add other visual dimensions.
The length of each session depends on the compatibility of the partners and how well they relate to each other. If the guide feels that the other person has already achieved a higher state of relaxation, he/she can slowly bring him back to his present surroundings.
In guided mediation you progress to a greater relaxed state, than even sleep can take you to. With this technique, you do not physically sleep, you reach an elevated state of awareness in which you are distanced for the physical.
One of the easiest ways to guided meditation is to get a guided meditation CD, find a quiet place, switch off your phone, and get down to relaxing. Be sure to wear comfortable, loose clothes and pick a time of the day when you're least likely to be interrupted.
Novice meditation takes only a small investment. You will need to listen to the cd for fifteen to twenty-five minutes and then spending a few more minutes at the end contemplating to allow the relaxation to penetrate to your core. For relief of day to day stresses and worries, this is most effective.
