Telepathic Communication for Beginners
June 22nd, 2009 by admin

When we say someone is 'telepathic' are we talking about something that really exists? Most people think not—they dismiss the idea as mysticism or science fiction. On the other hand, don't we live in a world where people fly on a regular basis? Where information floats invisibly through the air for use with laptops and cell phones? Where anyone can conjure a tongue of flame in their hand with the use of a $1 cigarette lighter?

The late, great Arthur C. Clark said that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. So, in a sense, science and technology ARE magic; they allow us to conjure up things that were 'impossible' just a century ago. We draw electrical power directly from the sun. We carry around a small device that can allow us to communicate with anyone else who has a similar device anywhere on the planet instantly; and some people's small devices allow them to visit entire libraries while they sit on a park bench. But, of course, in a literal sense, this is all just science-not 'magic'. Right?

To believe an individual may be telepathic has been considered mysticism, which is another word for magic. And it really isn’t much of a stretch to believe in the possibility of a Telepathic person. An individual who developed these mental properties, is misunderstood by many people.

The scientific investigation of Telepathic people falls under the area of paraphysics or parapsychology. The people who investigate it, paraphysicists or parapsychologists, try hard to use experiments and the scientific method to answer questions about telepathy, whether or not they like the answers they find. Some experiments on people with Telepathic powers have produced tantalizing results. In order to consider something scientifically provable, however, the test results must be measurable, consistent, and repeatable. This is where the scientific investigation of telepathy falls short—the test results are inconsistent and can't always be duplicated. Some say this proves people can't really be Telepathic. Others say this only proves that we don't understand how it works yet, and haven't developed the proper tests to measure it. But how could humans really be Telepathic? How can people communicate without the use of their five senses, using only thought alone? The obvious answer is through some means that we can't hear, see, smell, taste, or touch, but that exists nonetheless. On the one hand, humans can already do this artificially using communication technology—radio waves can't be observed with our five senses, but they definitely exist. On the other hand, the human brain is not a radio tower.

Telepathic individuals and who are subjects of these experiments, produced results completely tantalizing and less than desired. Telepathy to be proven scientifically, must have results that are consistent, measurable and repeatable. However, scientific investigation have fallen short in regards to telepathy. The results have been inconsistent and not always able to be duplicated. Some opinions are that this proves individuals are not Telepathic. But to others it only proves we have lots to learn and a need for more advanced procedures to be developed for testing for telepathy.

Scientifically, human thought is just a biochemical process of neurons being transferred between different synapses in the brain. However, this transfer of neurons creates an electrical current—tiny, sure, but measurable. This electrical current also generates a tiny magnetic field. Keep in mind the brain has tens of thousands of synapses firing at any one time.

..Or, is it? One thing that science does know and acknowledge is that there are electromagnetic waves generated by the brain called 'thought waves'. And researchers who have not dismissed telepathy say that this is the key insight that is needed to understand it.

The brain consists of biochemical neurons that transmit electro-chemical impulses between its many different synapses. And, since these are electro-chemical impulses, they do generate minuscule but real, and measurable, electrical currents. Of course, these currents also create tiny magnetic fields. Keep in mind that there are thousands upon thousands upon thousands of synapses firing in the brain every second.

Is there any way the electrical and magnetic fields of the human brain can be boosted? Perhaps. Sometimes for example, during a heightened emotional state (such as pain, shock, fear, or feeling endangered), more neural synapses fire simultaneously, temporarily creating a spike in bio-electrical and bio-magnetic brain waves.

Does it mean telepathy exists if we call an individual 'telepathic'? Most people do not believe this to be true. They simply do not believe it to be real and dismiss the idea as science fiction or mysticism. We live everyday with computers (all kinds) and cell phones. These items all use invisible waves, in the air, to function and people travel daily, thousands of people, in computer controlled jets.

However, it seems that when a person experiences extremely intense emotions, the brain's electromagnetic currents and fields spike momentarily. Could this be a way of boosting the brain's transmission powers?

Researchers of parapsychology have documented brief Telepathic communications. One instance is a mothers knowing her child has been hurt, even though they are separated by many miles. This fear and anxiety the parent experiences creates the spiking of neurons and is this brain activity telepathically communicating? Does the relationship between two individuals contribute to telepathy? Or perhaps is this all just coincidence?

There is too little scientific evidence to prove telepathy exists and there is still doubt. This is changing and there are more and more studies being conducted by scientists to show there are telepathic humans. With proper instruction and guidance this gift can be developed among the human population.
