When To Learn Clairvoyance
October 24th, 2009 by admin

Is it truly possible for someone to learn the skill of being a clairvoyant? Yes, it is possible to a certain extent. However, in order to truly define what we mean by this we need to clarify the term 'learn clairvoyance'.

Some of the confusion here derives from the fact that the term clairvoyance has several different meanings. Some of the traditional definitions center on remote viewing powers or precognition skills. On a very basic level, this term refers to the ability to discover information about a person, place, or thing without using any of the five senses but from tapping into a latent sixth sense.

It is true that some individuals have extraordinary clairvoyant skills such as the ability to tap into the five senses to connect with something far away or to look into the past or future. But, no one truly knows how this works and science has lacked the ability to explain the process. Yes, there are many metaphysical explanations for such psychic abilities but no one particular explanation have emerged to truly define it. If there was one common denominator among all of these components it would be the simple notion that most people with these powers were born that way.

Is it possible for everyone to learn remote viewing or develop the ability to see into the future? No, but it is possible for everyone to develop a talent at developing a sixth sense.

It is true that all people have a certain degree of a sixth sense. This can sometimes be described as a hunch or feeling that no one can logically explain. People making statements about having bad feelings about something or lacking trust in a person could be considered a form of sixth sense. However, most people will ignore this feeling and defer to logic or emotion instead.

Science, to a certain degree, even acknowledges the existence and validity of hunches and instincts. Scientists claim, however, that there is nothing supernatural, paranormal, or psychic about this ability. Psychologists, for example, argue that this phenomenon is merely your subconscious mind picking up on little details, hints, and signals that your conscious mind is too busy to notice. Your subconscious mind then translates this information into emotions to help guide youthe proverbial 'feeling' mentioned earlier. Therefore, in order to develop your sixth sense, you have to learn to use and trust your subconscious mind.

It doesn't really matter whether or not your sixth sense is actually based upon paranormal psychic ability or on your mind's subconscious function. What does matter is that clairvoyance exists however it gets there, and everyone has a to a certain degree. And because you do have it, you can also hone and develop it if you want to. Here are three ways you can do it.

1. Improve Your Perception

Most people go through life with a sort of tunnel vision, where they're so focused on what they're doing in front of them that they become oblivious to everything that's going on around them. Even so, though, these small details are hidden in plain sight, and our subconscious minds pick up on them. We get our instinct and hunches from this information, and if you can learn how to increase your perception, and become more aware of what's around you and the details therein, you'll be giving your subconscious mind more of what it needs to develop your sixth sense.

This takes some practice, but there are some things you can do to try to increase your perception. First, slow down. Relaxed calm down, and move at a slower pace in your daily activities. Second, minimize or remove distractions whenever you can and that normally distract your senses, too. For example, don't listen to the radio when you drive and instead drive in silence. When you don't have anything else to occupy your senses are thoughts, you'll become more aware of the world around you, including the neighborhood you're driving in, the weather and the car behind you that may be moving into your blind spot.

A little bit of mini-meditation does not hurt either. That means you can close your eyes and inhale and try to relax. Upon opening your eyes, you will discover you are more aware of your surroundings. This process only takes a few seconds and it works fairly well.

2. Meditate

You should try to practice meditation at least 30 minutes a day. What meditation does for you is to occupy and clear your conscious mind, so that your subconscious mind can come to the surface to communicate with your conscious mind and do the work it needs to. People who meditate regularly report that they feel much more refreshed and relaxed when they're finished.

It is fair to say meditation can be a little difficult to perform at times. When you try and empty out your mind, it becomes difficult to truly clear the mind and cease and endless cycle of thought. To reverse such a scenario is difficult because it is tough to occupy the conscious mind and be able to distract it. A focus and a mantra may be the best ways to do this.

When you meditate, your senses are distracted. You hear every sound going on, everything happening, and you are distracted. So instead of trying to 'control' your senses, simply distract THEM and keep them busy. To do this, you can stare to focus on a candle flame. The flickers can be mesmerizing but not so complicated that they are distracting. This keeps your mind occupied, too.

Secondly, it is our conscious mind and our thoughts that never shut down which leads us to always being distracted by thoughts. So, instead of trying to silence it, it is better to distract it or occupy it with a mantra. A mantra is a phrase, prayer, or poem and, possibly, song lyrics intended to occupy the mind. As long as it is something you know and can recite, you can use it as a mantra. Many prayer sessions such as the rosary reciting can occupy the mind in such a manner.

3. Learn to Trust Your Instincts

This may be the most important thing you do when it comes to developing clairvoyant abilities. It's normal to doubt and second-guess yourself and you get started with this, but learn not to doubt those gut feelings you always get. Instead, follow them and see what happens. Know that your hunches and instincts exist for some reason, and that your subconscious mind is probably trying to tell you something. It may be something your subconscious mind hasn't noticed, but yet it's still important.

At first, this may be difficult. Over time, however, the more you listen to and trust your instincts, the more confidence you will gain in them. Your clairvoyant sixth sense will grow stronger, and it will be easier for you to trust it.
