This is undoubtedly the Canton Spirituals’ greatest work and best album. It is good old fashioned down home gospel music with a gritty and soulful vibe that conveys the group’s history up to that point. The album kind of symbolizes the passing of the torch from the original Canton Spirituals to new version featuring Harvey Watkins, Jr.
