Jesus Christ had the twelve apostles. They were Simon, Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, Matthew, James the Younger, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot, Judas Iscariot and Matthias. Jesus handpicked these common individuals to help him spread the good word of God to the people.

Take note of the word "common". The twelve apostles, contrary to popular belief, weren't anything special. They are your common, regular folks. You wouldn't be able to pick them out from a crowd. This simple detail is very important because it says much about spreading God's teachings and being a good Christian and an apostle in modern times.

The twelve apostles in the Bible were a group of ordinary men young and old. There was a tax collector, fishermen, etc. You couldn't get any more ordinary than that. But Jesus picked them to become his twelve apostles not because of what they do, but because he saw their potential to do great things in accordance with the Lord's wishes. The Bible verse, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me," (Philippians 4:13) came as a result of the stories of these twelve men. They were ordinary, but they believed in Jesus Christ and that they are capable of great things, if they dedicate their actions to the Lord.

"And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;" Luke 6:13

When the twelve apostles were ready, Jesus gave them the power to heal unclean spirits and all kinds of sicknesses, and then sent them to nearby towns to preach about God and the kingdom of heaven. Most theologians and Bible students agree that the twelve apostles traveled in pairs, but this wasn't made clear in the Bible. The twelve apostles did good, and the mission turned out to be a big success.

When the twelve apostles came back, Jesus told them of the wonderful things that had happened and would happen as a result of their preaching. From here on out, miracles began happening left and right, this was written in the New Testament, in Jesus' presence and in plain sight of his twelve apostles. This marked the spiritual growth of that group that used to be a band of commonplace, ordinary men – now students of Christ and twelve apostles spreading the love of God.

Becoming Jesus's apostle is by no means restricted to the Bible. It is possible to be a modern day apostle, and in fact, we are all encouraged by the Bible to live and act the way the twelve apostles did in Jesus' time. You don't need to be anything special. You can be an accountant for a large corporation or a simple modern-day fisherman, these things don't matter in living the life of an apostle. The important thing is you have accepted Christ in your life, and that whatever you do from here on out is for the glory and love of God.

Incarnate Angel

I will bet the vast majority of you readers did not know or consciously believe that holy (and fallen) angels can incarnate as humans or that humans can ascend to angelic status via what is known as "Christ-consciousness" while still living in the flesh.

The terms "angel" and/or "prophet," properly defined, both mean Messenger.

Stories of angels appear in just about every religion, but many of those religions will insist that angels will never incarnate. Some think that angel incarnates are the so-called fallen angels. This is not really true. It is the author's hope to educate the reader as to the truth of these realities, being a divine prophet and actual incarnated angel in the flesh.

Many people do not even believe in angels, since they have never personally seen one, or they do not believe in God - despite the evidence for the Creator's existence - which, by logic, means they will not believe in angels since angels are fingers of the Divine. Many lump angels into the same category as aliens - as something of a "fringe" topic, not worth discussing rationally or taken seriously.

    What are these Incarnated Angels Doing Here?

    The Messenger must call people to something ineffable but ever present, something we sense and feel but which our intellects cannot really understand or express clearly or easily. It is the Mystery of what I speak. That is what the Revelation and all the Revelations have been given for, is to reignite the Mystery—not just to meet the needs of the day or the needs of tomorrow or the practical difficulties facing the peoples of that time, but to ignite the Mystery because it is from the Mystery that everything issues forth—your purpose, your relationships, your destiny, your work, everything!

Many skeptics do not believe angels possess "wings" and therefore believe it is a fictional "fabrication" or imagination of artists who create beautiful paintings of angels with wings. I am here to state once and for all, clearing up much confusion about angels, that many DO in fact possess wings. I have seen my own wings visually - and this may seem hard to believe, but it is all true - so have many, many other people on dozens and dozens of occasions for 3 1/2 years with their naked eyes.

I can describe these wings for you. They are about 8 feet tall, swan-like, exotically beautiful, unearthly, bluish-white, etheric wings of pure divine light and you can see through them. They have an almost physical sensation as they flow outwards from the back, and they feel cool, like frost or snowflakes gently landing on the skin.

Incarnated angels are spirits of the angelic realm who incarnate as humans to help people learn something very specific, to heal, guide, enlighten humans or act as messengers such as a divine prophet like Daniel. Because angelic beings are so close spiritually to the Creator, then tend to be very creative as people. Communication is often hard for them, so they tend to communicate through music, like the musician Enya, art or writing, like this author. Like Paul and Moses of the Bible, I am slow of speech, quiet and therefore communicate better in writing.

Another term for incarnated angels is "Earth Angels." Most of these beings do not really make themselves public, like this author is required to do by divine will - as a prophet, because of the ridicule and vicious attacks they receive from those living in spiritual ignorance. Earth Angels in their purest form are intuitive, empathic, sensitive and giving often to a fault, with the very concept of tragedy nipping at their heels.

Did you not know Daniel of the Bible was in fact a holy incarnated angel of God, where it states three times he was "endowed with the spirit of the holy gods?" This was merely another way of saying holy angels.

Well, this author is this Daniel at the end of the days, believe it or not! If you have an open mind, make your mind up for yourself and read the story! Those who have read this "scripture quality" autobiography have said it is "mind blowing."

While the average reader will immediately be incredulous and skeptical at this proclamation, I assure you this is all absolute truth.

Sinai in order to consult with the burning bush. According to the ancient script, the burning bush was a small tree that appeared to be on fire but the leaves of the bush were not harmed in any way by the flames. And a human voice came from out of the bush giving Moses instructions and messages from The Almighty concerning the effort to lead the Jewish people through the wilderness into the "promised land," a place that flowed abundantly with milk and honey.

But Moses was not in a good mood. His followers were complaining about the quality of their lives and were not at all sure they wanted to continue following Moses' instructions even if they did come from the Supreme Being of the Universe. And Moses had a nagging feeling coming to mind that something else was yet to go wrong on this day that got off to a bad start.

He finally arrived at the little flat clearing on the mountain where the burning bush sat at the ready. He came to discuss a report that a fire breathing dragon was raiding the camps and, according to rumor, had taken one of the higher ranking young ladies into, yes, you guessed it, captivity. Would the people never be free? What else could go wrong. Moses was about to give it all up himself.

No sooner did Moses remove his sandals as required before stepping on holy ground that he heard a loud flapping of dragon wings and felt a wind rush his back and disturb his robes. He turned to see the dragon alight on the ground near by him. The dragon was gigantic and awful in all its aspects but Moses had never been a man of feint heart. This is going to be interesting, he thought.

"Greetings to you, Moses, leader of a chosen people and the messenger of God. Please grant me audience," said the dragon.

"Yes, it is I," replied Moses.

"As you have heard, I abducted a choice young lady and hold her captive in my lair for dinner, as dragons are meant to do according to the law of nature, but she is not cooperating. When I offer her meats and other foods in order to fatten her up for slaughter she refuses to eat because my offering are not lawful for her to eat. No matter how I threaten her she rejects the fare. How in the world can I complete a dragon's lot in a situation like this?"

"It is good to hear of a young lady who keeps the law under dire circumstances. Perhaps this project is not lost after all. No, she will not eat anything that is unlawful according to our standard, but perhaps there is something you can do about that. See that small bush over there. It is lawful for her to consider. Perhaps you can pull it out and offer it too her. That is my advice."

"That was quick and easy," said the dragon with a smirk. "Thanks." Then he slowly walked toward the bush. He put his paw around the thin trunk and gave a pull with his mighty arm, but the bush remained rooted.

"Hey, Moses. What is this? Never have I failed in any feat of strength. This bush is rooted deep."

"Try it again," said Moses.

The dragon took a deep breath and gave the bush another slow steady pull. He pulled so hard the veins stood up on his neck. But the bush did not budge.

"Moses, this is embarrassing. Never before have I failed."

"Wrap your tail around it. Make sure you get a real good grip. It is a sacred plant, suitable for the maiden."

The dragon did as instructed. He wrapped his tail around the bush, got a real good grip, and pulled with all his might. Moses tapped on a stone with his staff. The bush erupted in flames and the dragon screamed out in pain. The flames licked his tender under belly near the joint of his tale and his impulse was to flee the burning bush. But he couldn't. The leaves attached themselves to his tail and would not release him as the flames shot up his back. He started cursing and threatening. The bush moved and spun the dragon in the air and slammed him down on the ground. Then it spun him and slammed him down again, and again and again. He shrieked and howled in horror and pain and cried out for mercy. Moses tapped the stone with his staff again and the flames abated. The dragon lay on the ground badly burnt and exhausted. After regaining his composure just a little he looked up at Moses with a question in his eyes.

"Yes," said Moses. "You may go. When you get back to your lair release the girl. And never attack any of our people again. I mean it."

The dragon was too weak to speak. But after awhile he was able to make his way back to his lair. He released his captive and never bothered the chosen people again.

Fabulous Fruit Cake

Ingredients

    1 cup golden raisins
    1 cup currants
    1/2 cup sun dried cranberries
    1/2 cup sun dried blueberries
    1/2 cup sun dried cherries
    1/2 cup dried apricots, chopped
    Zest of one lemon, chopped coarsely
    Zest of one orange, chopped coarsely
    1/4 cup candied ginger, chopped
    1 cup gold rum
    1 cup sugar
    5 ounces unsalted butter (1 1/4 sticks)
    1 cup unfiltered apple juice
    4 whole cloves, ground
    6 allspice berries, ground
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1 teaspoon ground ginger
    1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
    1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    2 eggs
    1/4 to 1/2 cup toasted pecans, broken
    Brandy for basting and/or spritzing

Preparation

1) Combine dried fruits, candied ginger and both zests.

2) Add rum and macerate overnight, or microwave for 5 minutes to re−hydrate fruit.

3) Place fruit and liquid in a non−reactive pot with the sugar, butter, apple juice and spices.

4) Bring mixture to a boil stirring often, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.

5) Remove from heat and cool for at least 15 minutes. (Batter can be completed up to this
point, then covered and refrigerated for up to 2 days. Bring to room temperature before
completing cake.)

6) Heat oven to 325 degrees.

7) Combine dry ingredients and sift into fruit mixture.

8) Quickly bring batter together with a large wooden spoon, then stir in eggs one at a time
until completely integrated, then fold in nuts.

9) Spoon into a 10−inch non−stick loaf pan and bake for 1 hour.

10) Check for doneness by inserting toothpick into the middle of the cake.

11) If it comes out clean, it's done. If not, bake another 10 minutes, and check again.

12) Remove cake from oven and place on cooling rack or trivet.

13) Baste or spritz top with brandy and allow to cool completely before turning out from
pan.

14) When cake is completely cooled, seal in a tight sealing, food safe container.

15) Every 2 to 3 days, feel the cake and if dry, spritz with brandy. The cake's flavor will
enhance considerably over the next two weeks. If you decide to give the cake as a gift, be
sure to tell the recipient that they are very lucky indeed.
