I just have to share this Miracle that happened on my trip to Hawaii last week. My very good friend and I arrived in Honolulu, rented a car, and drove to the hotel. After taking our bags out of the car, my friend started frantically looking through his little wind-breaker jacket. I asked him what was wrong and he said he lost something. I said what did you lose and he said "money." When I asked him how much, too my surprise, it was A LOT of money. Not the amount of money you wouldn't carry around in a windbreaker unless they were traveler's checks. It was the money he was going to use for the trip.
Well to say the least, this was upsetting news. Then he told me while he was at baggage claim, (I was in the bathroom) that a man came up to him and asked him if he lost anything. Not realizing he had lost the money he said "No." Now putting two and two together, this man probably found the money and was looking for the owner. My friend, needless to say was very upset.
On the way up to our hotel rooms I told him that we were not going to let this ruin our trip. That God knew this was going to happen and that even if we have to do everything free, we are going to have a fabulous time. In fact, I said that I believed that our trip would be just as wonderful as if we had spent every penny that he lost. When we got to the room we actually prayed about the money and we were determined to let it go. I told my friend about a testimony I heard by Joel Osteen about a lady who had lost her expensive wedding ring at the beach only to step on it several days later in the sand. We declared that the devil intended this for evil but God would turn it around for our highest good.
Well, I have to admit that my friend did a very good job of letting it go. I also encouraged him to check the lost and found at the airport because it sounded like the man who found the money might have turned it in since he was actually asking people about it. My friend called everyday, but only got a recording and no one even called him back.
On our day of the departure, my friend said he was going to try one last time. He asked someone how to get to Lost and Found and they told him it was about 49 gates away. I waited at our gate while he walked down there. He returned about 20 minutes later saying that no one was there and that everyone kept giving him the run around. They even gave him the same phone number that he had been calling all week with no avail.
We had about 20 minutes to board the plane and my friend said he wanted to get something from Starbucks but thought he didn't have time. I said, sure you do, so we walked down to Starbucks and waited in the line. We got our drinks and were walking out of the coffee shop when my friend spotted the man who had asked him if he had lost anything the day we arrived at the airport. He was standing in the same Starbucks line!!! My friend told him that he had lost the money and the man said that he turned the money in. In fact, he gave us the name of the airline's general manager. Then he went with us to the airline desks and told what had happened and the airline took all my friend's information and told him they would mail him a check for the amount of the money he lost.
The general manager was so elated that the man was honest and turned the money in that she had given him a free flight and upgraded it as well. The man said that he had no intention of keeping that money because he didn't want that kind of karma coming back to haunt him.
So what can I say, we had the best trip ever and God Still gave my friend the money back. In fact, I don't think the trip could have been any better if we had had it. We learned two lessons, 1) Please don't put large sums of money in wind-breakers! 2) Have faith in God and He will see you through. My friend was so excited, and so was I, that we just couldn't stop talking about it. All I have to say is, "Look at God!"
Praise God for miracles because this truly was one! Thank you Jesus!

David asks…
I have a Christian friend that I've been talking to both over the phone and through the internet. He's been in Nigeria for the past year. When I talked to his driver on Monday, He'd gone home with his mother to Ireland.(where they live). But I haven't heard from him since and that's unusual since he even e-mailed me last year while he was in Indonesia for a couple weeks. I've tried calling his European cell phone and get the message "the service you requested is not available" Could you pray that I can get in contact with him and know that he made it safely from Africa to Ireland. Thank you. I appreciate the prayers more than words can say.
Dear Lord God, I thank you that you are Faithful &Amp; Loving & Kind & that You know All things. Even using all our knowledge & imagination, we can only see through an eye of a needle, but you oh Lord, You not only see everyone & everything, you know the thoughts of our hearts & know each & every one of us so well, you know the number of hairs on our heads & have counted all our tears.
I lift up to you Jan & her friend that she has regular contact with. But now Lord for whatever reason her longtime good friend has not been in touch with her.
Jan is upset about having not heard from Him, So dear Lord I would pray for my special friend Jan, that you would envelope her with your love & peace & security & give her comfort in these times of uncertainty, & to know that You are in control of all things. Nothing happens without your saying so.
Touch Jan in a mighty way Lord, & breath your rest into her spirit. Let her heart & mind relax in her Abba Fathers kind & ever watching eyes.
In the Powerful name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Jan, honey, go & have a cup of tea, put your favourite movie on & watch it or do what ever it is you do to relax. I am going to pray for your friend off line. Know that people are praying for you both.
Another lady who is praying for you both said some good practical advise-about the airlines? Checking them out is not doubting God.
Rest now in Gods everlasting arms. Your friend will be fine & it won't be too long before you hook up with him again!
Here is a Promise for you and your friend from God: Jer 29:11: For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

My nephew, early 40's, is on the way to hospital with his 3rd heart attack. Appreciate all the prayer we can get. He is a volunteer fire fighter. He was fighting a fire at the time.
His name is Jackie. Thanks to everyone. He is a great guy and, yes, he is saved.
UPDATE: His pain is partially relieved and is being air-vaced to Columbia MO. from Hannibal, MO. God bless you all. Will continue to update as I get info.
Thanks to everyone. Jackie is without pain after taking a clot buster. Doctors will do an angiogram on Monday to see what he needs. Hoping for a stint in lieu of bypass surgery. He will be fine. His condition is hereditary. He had bypass surgery while in his 30's and a stint about a year or more ago. Surely, he will give up the fire department after this, but I would not bet on it.
God bless each one of you for your prayers. Who knows what might have happened without prayer.
Yes, will be praying for him. Keep us posted. Blessings~ Publisher's Note: Let all firefighters be safe in their work as God wills it.
Chris asks…
Shockingly, Pastor Melissa Scott told viewers of her live broadcast to send in prayer requests, but you have to give money for them to get prayed over. Business is business in Gene Scott's church.
Prayers shouldn't cost u a penny! Ask your local church for prayers. Have your minister offer prayers for those who need them, etc. Keep you money and just pray. God hears all prayers.

A friend has this quotation on his office wall: "I know worry works because nothing I worry about ever happens." I think I must believe that, because I worry a lot -- and about the most insignificant things. I worry about the big things, of course, like health, relationships, and finances. But I'm also liable to fret about anything and everything that finds its way into my consciousness. Because I spend so much time on worry, I've decided to embrace it with a personal research project. Maybe you'd like to join me. Here are two avenues I'm exploring: 1) I practice catching myself at it. "Hey, I'm worrying again." During a recent morning swim, I caught myself worrying 10 times during one lap! I'm not kidding. On rare days when I don't have anything to worry about, I find something. What I've learned is that worry is a mental habit. I can change habits ; I've done it before. There's hope. 2) My second approach is to practice presence. By this I mean stopping my thoughts. In my workshops, I ring a bell to help participants practice centering. The quieter we are , the longer we hear the bell. There's a lovely moment when we all listen . . . until the ring is barely audible . . . then just a memory. I relish that moment of quiet before my thoughts re-engage. There is no future or past, just Now. No worrying thoughts -- no thoughts at all. It's a peaceful place, which is why I stretch the moment. I want to strengthen the connection to something greater than my worries. 3) When I told my good friend Rosie about my worry project, she told me about her approach, which is to do one of three things: decide to address the issue right then; if you can't do anything about it at the moment, give yourself a time to address it later; or decide that it is not important and let it go. In other words, act on it, file it or throw it away. 4) Finally, one of Rosie's favorite worry stoppers (and mine) is to sing. Connect with your self, your creativity, and the place where everything really is okay. Awareness and acknowledgment are the keys to changing our habits. Morihei Ueshiba, who founded aikido and spoke of it as the Art of Peace, said we must "always practice the Art of Peace in a vibrant and joyful manner." Perhaps my research project on worry will help me to lighten up, smile, and live each day in such a way. Are you worrying? Stop your thoughts for a moment. Listen to the sounds around you, pay attention, and be present to this key moment. And smile . . . for no reason. You may find that's the best reason of all.
